Home of the “Air plant Jellyfish”, a weird and wonderful way to display air plants. Every Jellyfish is made from clay by my hands and completely unique, each one with their own personality. They are extremely easy to look after, making great gifts and look beautiful hanging in the bathroom or kitchen. For every jellyfish sold I donate 10% of the profits to Surfers Against Sewage, helping to protect our waterways from pollution.
I also make a range of sculptural vessels and functional ceramics incorporating tactile organic forms, i particularly enjoy creating texture with my hands by rhythmically pinching or gauging the surface of my pots. My work fuses foliage and texture inspired by the sea and patterns found in nature. I use stoneware and terracotta clay, glazing with vivid turquoises and greens. I am also inspired by my experiences as an Anthropologist and draw a lot of influence from traditional pottery from Africa and South America, which can be seen in my use of contrasting pattern and detail.
